Adam Khoja

As an undergraduate at UC Berkeley, I had the pleasure of being advised in my research by Mantas Mazeika and Dan Hendrycks, where I focused primarily on benchmarking (a lot of it). I cofounded the university's student AI Safety club (BASIS) in 2022 and established SPAR as an intercollegiate research program in 2023. I graduated with degrees in Math and Computer Science in 2025.

Since 2023, I have worked at the Center for AI Safety (CAIS) on a host of projects spanning research engineering, policy research, writing, and management. Some highlights:

I find value in forecasting the trajectory of AI, both as an exercise to crystallize my own thinking, but also to build an explicit track record and draw attention to the urgency of our fast-approaching future. Manifold Markets has been the main place where I've registered predictions about AI timelines. I think using AI for epistemics is promising and would like to see more people working on differentially enhancing and diffusing this use case.
